Love Carlotta, love this series. Another great entry. The plot is a little convoluted, but then again, so is the Big Dig. Barnes does a nice job of pulling disparate threads neatly together while introducing some intriguing new characters.

Suspense galore. Takes place in Boston, Ma. A 6' redheaded P.I., Carlotta, decides to go undercover searching for fraud on the 'dig'. The Big Dig is a highway running under Boston... if it ever gets finished. I enjoyed this book. This was my first Linda Barnes book and I will definitely read her again. Great mystery.

I have enjoyed all of Barnes's Carlotta Carlyle mysteries. She's rather like a emale Spencer in Boston.

Enjoyable, particularly with the Big Dig being in the news so often recently.
