My favorite in this book was the Rachel Caine story! It was my first time reading Caine but I will definately be checking out more by her.

The Jim Butcher, Lori Handeland, Charlaine Harris, and P.N. Elrod stories were also great. It was nice to read a little something by these authors while I wait for their next books to come out.

I tried, but just could not get into the Esther M. Friesner and Susan Krinard stories. I hate Sherrilyn Kenyon, so I didn't even bother trying to read her short story.

I usually hate short stories. The length doesn't usually give enough time to develop the characters enough. I think that I was able to enjoy these, though, because I have already read so much by many of these authors that I knew the basic makeup of the characters or their "world".

I bought this book for one author, but found that all 9 stories were worth my time. Some were better than others, but they were all enjoyable.

I liked four of the nine stories contained in the book. The theme of paranormal wedding stories is really fun, and the authors in the anthology are all well-known and have written multiple best-selling novels. The key here is realizing that a short story is a different form of writing, that a masterful storyteller in novel format may fall flat when writing in a tight 40 pages or less. The best stories were fun and hooked me into the story and characters right away: Rachel Caine's "Dead Man's Chest"; Charlaine Harris' "Tacky"; Susan Krinard's "...Or Forever Hold Your Peace" (a Kit and Olivia story, if you've read other anthologies with Susan Krinard); P.N. Elrod's "All Shook Up."

I love books with more than one author in them. Make me want to find other stories by these authors.

Collection of short stories that I found a bit uneven. However, the stories written by a couple of my favorite "Supernatural" authors--Jim Butcher and Charlaine Harris--are defintely worth a read.

Nice collection of short stories. Some from authors I know, and a few new (to me) authors. Would be good for the beach or short trips.

Print is very small and book is larger than the common paperback.

A collection of new short stories by L. A. Banks, Jim Butcher, Rachel Caine, P. N. Elrod, Esther M. Friesner, Lori Handeland, Charlaine Harris, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Susan Kirnard. If you can't tell by the authors' names, each story deals with the paranormal in some way. I really enjoyed most of these. Overall, it was definitely worth the purchase.

A very entertaining collection of short stories featuring vamps, werewolves and weddings and other supernatural stuff. Fun light reading.

While I enjoyed most of the stories, I had hoped that with the title sounding so funny, there would have beeen a bit more humor in each story. Still, I enjoyed it.

I loved the Kenyon Story and the Harris and Krinard were okay but I didn't like the others, they were really short and didn't have much for endings.

Barely worth reading. Disappointing offerings from authors that I usually like. The L.A. Banks title, Spellbound, was particularly bad. The best of the lot were the Jim Butcher short, Something Borrowed...and the Charlaine Harris offering, Tacky, from the Southern Vampire universe...but the rest were so trite I'm not sure it would be worth it to get the book for any other than a big Jim Butcher or Charlaine Harris fan/completist. The Elrod was JUST readable, the Kenyon was horrific...as was the Krinard. Ugh.

This book was not as good as I was expecting. Some stories were ok but the majority were not even interesting. You have to have some familiarity with other books by the authors because these stories just do not stand alone by themselves. I have read other short story compilations like this and sometimes one of two of the stories would be so interesting that I would look for other books by those authors. Not any of these though!

This was for the most part a very enjoyable read. There were a few stories I didn't care for as much as others, but that is mostly personal taste. My preference in supernatural romance is for more supernatural, a little romance (not necessarily sex, more sexual tension). I also like strong female characters that aren't the stereotypical female romance novel lead. For the most part this collection satisfied those preferences.

It was a good sampler of some authors I hadn't read yet, and all of the stories were self-contained (didn't necessitate getting a full-length book to find out what happened next, and the stories didn't feel unresolved, for example).

Although I got it in order to read intermittently I wound up nearly reading it straight through!

This is a book of short paranormal short stories centering around a wedding theme. Most of the stories were good, but a few I skipped over. Overall, a good read for lovers of the paranormal genre.

This is an anthology collection of short stories with supernatural themes with settings that include or revolve around weddings. As with any collection, it has its highs and lows. Interestingly, I warmed up to all the stories while reading them, but even though I am familiar with most of the authors and enjoy their books, this took an oddly long time to finish. Instead of being absorbed into a single reading session, I found it easy to put down - lots of fun, some great stories and an enjoyable read - just not captivating like I expected. Maybe it was hopping through so many different mythos and universes (some clashing) so quickly that made the collection seem disjointed despite the unifying marital theme.

Almost all the authors in this anthology are top rated paranormal romance writers, but the stories were not very romantic or compelling. Rachel Caine's pirate short story and P.N. Elrod's caterer with an Elvis act as music for a wedding were the best two stories. All the other stories seemed to rely on being part of a universe that already exists and could not get into the short stories as there was not time for character development or much plot. I have read some/most books by those authors before but could not get into the derivative stories. Glad I got this at the library, as I had been looking forward to it and can now cancel my wishlist, not a keeper.

"Werewolves, vampires, witches, voodoo, Elvis -- and weddings." I enjoyed the stories, and they introduced me to characters created by the various authors in their other works.

I bought this book to read "Something Borrowed" by Jim Butcher. I enjoyed the story but think that it may be confusing to anyone who doesn't read the Dresden Files series. The other story I really liked was "Charmed by the Moon" by Lori Handeland. This is the first time I've read this author. I enjoyed her writing style and didn't have any problem following the story, even thought it is from one of her on-going series.

Other enjoyable entries were by P.N. Elrod and Rachel Caine. I didn't care for the other stories in the anthology. So, I liked 4 out of 9. My overall rating: 3 Stars.

"Spellbound" was a cutesy story that I thought I was liking as I read it, but since it ended so abruptly (even for a short story), I was left feeling a little robbed of my time somehow.

"Something Borrowed" was actually the first story I've read with the Dresden character although I've seen the TV series. It didn't disappoint me and I plan to get around to reading the series when I can.

I thought that "Dead Man's Chest" was an entertaining, piratey story with an interesting twist.

I just couldn't get into "All Shook Up" because I'm one of those strange people who think Elvis was nothing more than a sleazy/weirdo piece of poo towards women and that will forever keep me from liking anything tied to him... guess I wouldn't have been one of the screaming bimbos at a concert back then lol.

"The Wedding of Wylda Serene" started out a little slow but turned into one of those stories where time passed by extremely quickly as I became glued to the pages. It was a strange, enjoyable little story that couldn't of ended up anywhere.

"Charmed by the Moon" was a good story, but brief.

I couldn't read more than five pages of "Tacky" because I gave up trying to read or understand Charlaine Harris's world of idiocractic vampires.

"A Hard Day's Night-Searcher" was a fun read that gave me a few laughs. The only thing I noticed was that her video game knowledge was lacking when she had one character turn a PSP off via remote... if only I could do that with my hubby's lol. But, there was gaming and this gaming girl can appreciate it.

"...Or Forever Hold Your Peace" was something I just couldn't keep reading once the author introduced "Talents" that the characters possessed. It really just kept making me think she was ripping off Piers Anthony's Xanth series because a lot of romance readers aren't likely to have heard of it.

What's the seating plan when rival clans of werewolves and vampires meet under the same roof? How can a couple in the throes of love overcome traps set by feuding relatives...who are experts at voodoo? Will you have a good marriage if your high-seas wedding is held on a cursed ship? How do you deal with a wedding singer who's just a little too good at impersonating Elvis.
