This book had potential, but just fell short. Basically, Kate Sutherland gives up her inheritance to start a camp for disabled kids. When some threats are made against her, Donovan MacLeod volunteers to help her out. Donovan and Kate are unrequited childhood loves. The book was readable but predictable and I was happy to be finished with it. Hopefully the next two in this series will be better.

Agree with the other reviewer that the first chapter seemed out of place - it is an intro for the series in general and felt unrelated to this book. The characters were interesting, but this book was filled with one-sided villains and one-sided heroes. All the good folks are giving away their inheritances to rescue people or work with disabled/disadvantaged children, the bad folks are selfish/law-breakers/mean/etc. I read another book by this author so I kept going hoping this book would improve but ended up skimming to finish it, despite some chemistry between the hero/heroine the book was not enjoyable.

Awesome story - the first chapter threw me, but the rest was AWESOME!!! If you yearned for a guy when you were younger who was out of your league and still think about him even now, this is the book for you!!! Great story.

I read a lot, and the series of the three Black Sheep were about the best I've read for fun in a long time. There is sophisticated humor, and the relationships are deeper than this type of book usually contains. The sex is not delicate but not crude. Once I had read all the Black Sheep, I went out and found all the other books that I could by this author. She did not disappoint. I would reccomend The Big Bad Wolf Tells All and and She's No Snow White as well as Dear Prince Charming. These are solid for light reading.

I wasn't really impressed by the characters. To me, there was no real connection and the lead female was too annoying.

Believe this to be first in series. Hope the others have more story/plot snd less inane conversation. Did a lot of skimming but did finish it.
