I've been working again on book covers (using the Upload Book Covers link), and trying to get them down to size, which I thought was 5K. But I just noticed this blurb at the bottom of the screen as I was entering some edits (using the Edit Book Data link): "Only jpg images are accepted that are less than 45k in size." 45K? Have I been tearing my hair out reducing the picture files to a super small 5K when it wasn't necessary? I'll do whatever is correct, but thought it was worthwhile getting some clarification. Thanks! Pam

The upload book images thingy says Only jpg files less than 5MB will be accepted Also Im pretty sure that Sherry said we were supposed to use the book image link for pic and not put them in the book data editer thing. |

Chris sez: <<Also Im pretty sure that Sherry said we were supposed to use the book image link for pic and not put them in the book data editer thing.>> Yes, I learned the hard way that uploading cover images on the book info page apparently causes many of them to "vanish" into a black hole somewhere. Even though the option seems to be there, we're supposed to use the "upload book covers" page only. Cheers, Catt |

Thanks for responding. I always use the "Update Book Covers" link for the cover images, but was wondering about the discrepancy in size requirements on the book edit page. Pam |

If the got to that link to change the size, they'd have gotten to it to either fix or remove it! There always seems to be a fix or glitch or update or feature add, that is in front of that little sore spot, so it remains, remains broke, and remains wrong. :) |

I mistakenly loaded the same book cover for two different books. I have tried to upload the correct one for ISBN 9780717282685 several times and get a message that it already has one pending for upload.........Help. |

Lynn, the queue is cleared now, probably shortly after you last tried. Try it again, & if you still get the msg, send me a PM. |
