Hi all, I'm sorry if this has already been posted and answered. I would really like to find a series similar to the black jewels by Anne Bishop. I want a series that is dark and has magic witches or wizards and romance. I would like if the series was finished please. Thanks!

You might want to check out the Kushils Dart series by Jacqueline Carey , It has been a while since I read either series but I remember them being of a similar tone.  I think there was less magick in Kushials Dart.

thanks mike, I actually read that trilogy, I liked it but thought it was too long. Have you read her other books in the same universe?

You could try Trudi Canavan's Black Magician series, they are really good "magic with a female protagonist set in a medieval world" novels, but with less romance, than the Bishop books. Also, James Clemens has a series of Wi'tch novels, I think 5, that were magic with a female protagonist, and some romance. Neither of those comes close the sensuality of Bishop or Carey, though.

Are you looking for traditional fantasy with hot romance (because that's pretty rare, as you are finding) or are you also interested in paranormal romance, because there are tons of set-in-modern-world/magic/hot romance books out there.

You could also look at C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series ... I really enjoyed that one a lot, although the magic is more fae/fairy magic and not so much wizards (although there are also wizards in the story). That one's heavy on romance.

Also, you might try Juliet Marillier's Sevenwaters series.

All of the series I've mentioned (now and before) are complete.

I'm trying to stick to traditional fantasy with romance for now. smiley

I also just discovered that James Clemens is also James Rollins, who writes all those bestseller thrillers. I haven't read more than 1 or 2 of his thrillers, as I prefer the fantasy usually, but now that I know that I might look at them again.

Let's see ... there is also Robin D. Owen's Celta Heartmates series, each one is a romance, set in a world (really a different planet) with magic (although these books are not dark).  I really like these, there is about 10 of them, I think, and she is still writing them, but they are not the type of book where you need the whole series in hand to start, the story of the world continues in all the books and characters cross-over, but not so much that you need to remember all the details of each story.
