Not wanting to get married himself, Gabriel Devine, Duke of Wolverest, wants his younger brother to marry and carry on the family name. Inviting the ton's most eligible ladies to an elegant ball, Gabriel is certain one of them will be eager to marry his brother and become the next duchess. Madelyn Haywood is pushed into accepting the invitation by her social-climbing step-mother. Like Gabriel, marriage is the last thing on her mind.
Very good debut novel from Olivia Parker. Lots of amusing dialogue and sexual tension in this book. Even though the ending was no surprise, it was hard to put down. My rating: 5 Stars.

Regency England. Very good, especially for a debut. The hero and heroine spend quite a bit of time together so the dialogue is very nice. The romance develops, but not as deeply as I would have liked. I was a tiny bit confused with one plot point near the end, but it all tied up nicely. A definate happily ever after with a nice epilogue at the end. I am looking forward to her next book.

Madelyn is hilarious, as she tries to keep her best friend from marrying a rogue/rake. Gabriel is funny as well! I highly recommend this book!

I loved this book. It is a debut book by a new author Olivia Parker. I thought for a first book it was fabulous. Couldn't believe it was her first book, that is how good it it. If you like historical novels you have to read this. It is fabulous.....
This book is good for a debut author. Nice story and good characters. Worth a read.
Great Book :)

Really enjoyed this debut author. Can't wait to read more of her books. Several things will make you laugh throughout the book. They don't list as a series but I noticed that both of the next two books have characters introduced in this book.
