A powerful novel by one of the greatest English writers of our time, Brighton Rock is the story of a boy gangster in the pre-war Brighton underworld which existed at the time. "Pinkie" is a Catholic dedicated to evil and damnation. The novel is riveting, fascinating, and I found it hard to put this book down.
