Great book in the Virgin River Series. I have enjoyed every one of the books in this series and look forward to the next couple that are coming out in 2012. Robyn always seems to be able to keep the old characters in the books and introduce new ones in a very unexpected way and weave the story around them. They keep me so involved in the book that I can hardly stand to put them down and this one sure didn't disappoint me.

Virgin River, how I adore thee! For those who have been previously exposed to the Virgin River series, this is already a must-read. For those of you who haven't, let me tell you a little about the town. Although it isn't exactly quaint or a thriving metropolis, and you wouldn't be able to tell it from any other town just by looking at it, what grows at the heart of Virgin River is what keeps people returning. This town is filled with people who actually care about one another. It's the epitome of what living should be, where you know your neighbors and you're never left alone to fend for yourself. Don't get me wrong, there are characters in the town that don't actually include themselves, but this is a strong community that looks out for each other.

In this book, we get to see all of our favorite characters return (I love you, Jack!) but we also get to meet some new ones. This book focuses on Denny. Denny is ex-military and after his life fell apart; he sought refuge in Virgin River and found a home he never wants to leave. This town has become his family. When he sets up a fishing and hunting trip for some of his friends the last thing he expects is his best friend's sister to tag along. She just happens to be the love of his life but things didn't go exactly as planned. Becca, the ex, is along for the ride seeking closure. Even though she has a great new love in her life, she just can't get Denny out of her head.

While we watch Denny and Becca sort through old wounds and try to make amends, or at least figure out how to be in the same room without making people want to smack them, we get to live in Virgin River for a bit of the Christmas season. This is a fast-paced read that leaves you with that heart-warming feeling that you're exactly where you belong. Loved it!!

What can I say? I love this series. It's one of my absolute favorites. The characters are real, I want to live in Virgin River, and the romances are great. This story however... I just don't know. The dialog seemed stilted. Denny, the Hero, didn't seem like a former Marine, but at times a lost little boy. I would, however, still recommend it if you've read the rest of the series. And have all the editors in the publishing world quit? I've read so many books lately with so many errors, it's driving me crazy! This book had a few, but mostly spelling or punctuation. Enough to make you go and read the sentence again. I won't stop reading Virgin River, but pray that the new ones coming out next year are more up to Carr's quality.

Better than some, not as good as others in the series. For a Christmas bonus book, it was quite good!

Becca Timm has a good reason when she invites herself along on her brother's men-only hunting trip to Virgin River. She told her brother she wants to learn to hunt and fish, but she really wants to see her ex-boyfriend, Denny Cutler, who broke her heart three years ago. Denny has built a new life in Virgin River and made many friends who he considers family. Now Becca is here and he has never got over her. They didn't end on good terms, but maybe now they can get over the past and be together.

This is an enjoyable installment in the Virgin River series. I've liked Denny since he was introduced into the series a couple of books ago and hoped he would get his own story eventually. I wasn't disappointed. Becca is a likeable person who needs to find out if her relationship with Denny is totally over. We get to see many past characters from the series as they get together to celebrate the holidays and make sure the under privileged in the small town get supplies for the winter. My rating: 4 Stars.

Awesome story about Becca Timms trying to resolve her feelings on losing her first love before she gets more serious with her current boyfriend. Unlike most of the Virgin River series the focus here is on Becca and Denny only.

I love that Becca doesn't spend much time lingering between her decisions. She also doesn't get bullied into a decison. I wasn't sure about her at first because she was manipulating and lying left and right. But then she really grew on me and her strength and compassion was great. I think I came to like her because the children liked her so much.

I'm not big on Christmas but I loved how well it showed the time coming together and celebrating the spirit of the holiday. Charming.

I just can't get enough of this Virgin River series. I love the small town togetherness and how all the characters from the previous books are interwoven into each new novel. This is the story of Denny and Becca and once again Robyn Carr brings us a compelling, richly detailed love story. Keep up the good work!
