This is one of the best non-series books by Gordon Korman! Milo Neal aquirres a baby chicke for his science fair project, en which his class calls Henrietta. Henrietta becomes the center of attention at South Middle School. Adam Lurie, the school's hockey team captain, wants to adopt Henrtietta as the teams mascot. Zack Gutafason, an aspiring screenwriter, wants her to become the star of his next diolouge. Kelly Ginsburg just wants her to become the South Middle School Class Pet. And Milo wants her to become his cience project: The COmplete Life Cycle of a Chicken: Haching, Childhood, Adulthood, and Slaughter. Who's plan will work? What happens to Henrietta? This is a great read for someone who likes animals (not just chickens), hockey, science, and books about friends sticking together. An Apple Paperback.
