Meredith Foster has some psychic abilities especially where her students are concerned. She has strong feelings one of the boys in her class is begin abused emotionally by his father. When she informs his ex-wife and the father of her suspicions she is called once more to the principal office.
The father is a very powerful man who wants Meredith fired and has even gone to the press.
Mark Shepherd thinks Meredith is one of his best teachers except she can't seem to keep her nose out of other peoples business which come back to problems for him. She is loved by his daughter, Kelsey and the woman he is dating, Susan is her best friend. Why can't he seem to get her to stop inferring in other's lives?

Loved the psychic twist to the story. Mark has to learn to trust her gift or lose someone precious to him.

I loved this book I cried w/ poor Kelsey when she had to make some very rough decisions for a 9 year old. It was one I couldn't put down.
