The author was faced with a very serious economic crisis and through the lessons learned from Zee and Zoey ? to embrace the ordinary in life and dare to make it extraordinary - her life took on a new meaning and purpose and was the impetus for the book. The story is woven into a visual showcase of stunning photographs, delightful custom illustrations and exquisite artwork, so that the reader themselves will feel as if they personally know Zee and Zoey and can share in events, from the initial point of when Zee met Zoey for the first time, the whirlwind courtship to follow, the subsequent pregnancy, and then the birth of four amazing kittens. The book is written in such an effortless and conversational style, that anyone can easily relate to Zee and Zoey as the story is wrapped into the general context of everyday life. Raising children, divorce, moving, dating, home renovations, hurricanes, unemployment ? virtually every topic that pertains to the daily trials and tribulations of life is discussed with a refreshing honesty and realism. The book is then peppered throughout with humorous antidotes that will inspire conversations of any cat lover and is spot-on-accurate in understanding the many nuances of a feline. It is uplifting, encouraging, and engaging, allowing the reader a few smiles during these very stressful times we are currently challenged with. The Chronicles will be certain to have the reader participate and connect with it on a unique and individual level.
