I find I just do not have time for this.  I have checked every place that I can think of and have not had any luck finding out how to close an account.  I guess I could just delete my information and books but there has to be an easier way.  Someone please explain.

Send a PM to the PBS team - link at the bottom of the page and tell them you need to close your account.  It's the "Contact Us" link.

Carol, you're a fairly new member.  Are you having some specific problem? Because you can always put your account on hold if you're having a busy week, month, whatever. I do it frequently just to give myself a chance to catch up on some reading.

Ruth is correct though if you still wish to close your account.

But if there's something we can help you with feel free to PM me. It's a great book club and we'd hate to see you go if there's something we can do to make it easier for you. =)

Cheers!
Cali

I'm with Cali in this one.  If you are just overwhelmed because you just joined and have had to send out a lot of books: 1 it does slow down and 2: just put your account on hold. Put your WL on autorequest so you still get them if they come in and just unhold when you have more time.

But to actually close out an account you have to contact PBS.  THey won't close it until all your pending transactions have been taken care of but they'll put it on hold until then.

I may consider joining again at a later time.  The concept sounds good but right now I just have way too much going on in my personal life to continue.

Carol, all you need to do then is delete all the books on your bookshelf and on your Wish List.  You can then let your account just sit without worrying about it.

I would just go on vacation until I had time to deal with it-your WL books and posted books will move up FIFO.  Then if you decide you want to do this in a month or so you don't have to start all over again.
