The Cold Moon - Lincoln Rhyme, Bk 7 Author:Jeffery Deaver In the seventh procedural featuring the wheelchair-bound NYPD detective Lincoln Rhyme, Rhyme pursues the Watchmaker, a sadistic serial killer who leaves a clock and a cryptic note next to his victims. Meanwhile, Rhyme's partner, Detective Amelia Sachs, investigates a potential connection between an apparent suicide and a group of dirty cops.
Deaver does his usual sleight-of-hand in this Lincoln Rhymes mystery about a serial killer who goes by the name of Watchmaker. As usual, the twists and turns keep coming long after the reader thinks everything is nailed down.
My first time reading Deaver was in "Bodies left Behind" and I felt he was as exciting a writer as Patterson....one of my favorites!! This was a good read but not as exciting as the first one I'd read...will read more of his work...looking for others as great the "Bodies"!!
The person who gave me this book said that it was "better than A James Patterson Novel" and they were right. It had all of the things that keep you on the edge of your seat but bad things don't happen to good people. Although you THINK the worst is going to happen, the Author has a talented way of scaring the bejesus out of you without the gore. This was the first Jeffrey Deaver Novel that I have read and I am now looking for more. The characters are clever and real.I highly recommend it.
