A Desperate Woman
Melissa Sheffield was trapped in a nightmare. On the journey to meet her finance in Santa Fe, she was captured by Apaches and given to a man known as Cougar. At first, she was relieved to learn that she'd been given to a white man, but with one kiss he proved himself more dangerous than the whole tribe. Terrified of her savage captor and frantic to return to civilization, she pledged to escape at any price. But while there might be an escape from the Apache, was there any escape from her heart?

A dangerous Man
Clay Brodie-known as Cougar to the Apaches he'd run wild with since boyhood-suddenly found his loyalty in question. Given the fiery Melissa by his chief, he was ordered to turn her into an obedient slave-or destroy her. but how could he slay a woman who evoked an emotion deeper than he'd ever known? And when the time came to fight, would it be for his tribe or for his woman?

Great story. Ronda Thompson doesn't disappoint. She weaves a great love story between the hero (Cougar/Clay) and heroine (Melissa/Huera) who are thrust into what some may see as a no win situation. The story flows well and is a real page turner. I gave the book 4.5 stars only because I wanted more in the epilogue.
