Nice variety of different techniques - cross stitch, applique, fabric painting and more. The designs have a traditional "arts and crafts" bent, with stencils and bright colors. The only problem I found with the books is that in order to save space, they superimposed some of the patterns over the text. If you trace them off you can use them easily, but it makes the text a bit hard to read in places.

I get no end of inspiration from this book. Its clear directions and appealing photos make me want to make and do all kinds of things, not just on new store-boughts but on things I've made from scratch or bought used. The techniques in here can be applied to so many things that you come across all the time. There is a world of space for making your own creative adjustments. It's a great feeling to make something better-than-new from something(s) that were so-so. If there ever was a craft-clothing-gift book that really delivered, this is it.
