After finishing Ashley's story from the series and being extremely disappointed, I was glad that this one was so much more fun. I thought Steve and Melissa worked really well together. There was a point where Melissa was a bit frustrating and somewhat immature but the reasons Miller gave was credible enough.

I actually think it was one of the best one out of the series. I was slightly disappointed that Tessa and Tom won't get their own story (theirs were included here) but I can't wait to read more about he Creed cousins.

I know some of the reviews felt the book was slow but I really think that's Miller's style. She definitely takes her time to tell a story but I didn't mind.

I enjoyed the entire book. The heat and sizzle between Steven and Melissa was there from their first meeting.

Slow Slow over half way and still waiting for the story to take off. Not her best effort. Will finish and keep only due to the fact that Ms Miller is one of my keeper authors.

I liked this book enough to read the rest of the series. I thought the hero and his adopted son were great! The heroine was a little too whiny for me ("All my siblings are happily married and I'm not!") but the portrayal of the small town way of life, complete with parade and rodeo were enough to win me over.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book .
I was just looking for a diversion while sittimg in waiting rooms. It was so good I went back and read several others in the same series. Do look for the others and read it in sequence.

First, I love Linda's works, and this one is better than the other two in this series, but this one is a bit slow. I do love that Linda puts the stray dog adoption into each novel somehow, but sometimes it's kind of hokey. I kind of think the percotious 5 year old is more like a percotious 15 year old but it was an interesting twist.

Thorough character development made me feel like I was a friend of the family.

Ugh, what can I even say about this book? I didnt fully hate it, but I really really didnt like this book. Since this is the second book of Millers that Ive read, and Ive disliked them both, I think this genre is really just not for me. So where do I start with the things I disliked?

1. Why does seemingly every single person have to have endured so much tragic loss of life or abandonment? I can accept the reasoning behind Steven adopting Matt, but nearly every adult in this book has some sort of serious death in their past, or a family member who up and ran off. That totally sucks, dont get me wrong, but its annoying to read it over and over with every new character.
