Not at all what I expected. I guess "graphic novel" wasn't what I thought. This is like a comic book and that's fine and dandy. It really shortens up the story but gets the plot across beautifully. I have a hard time reading true Fitzgerald novels, so for me, this was a good way to get in a novel of his on terms I could live with. I also couldn't believe the caliber of art - it was truly splendid and well done....

I have to give it 4 stars! Would recommend it as a read for someone who likes comic book style reading, those who need a brief overview of the book before watching the movie, or those who enjoy looking at well done watercolor illustrations! Give it a try!
