When this book came out I was not into the whole dragon and witches reading experience. It had been done so much.
However, several years later Bruce decided to make it into s screenplay and my High school was honored to be able to produce it in our play production class.
When you are preparing the lights, costumes and set design it becomes more impressive and the storyline takes on a different meaning.
I spent lots of hours pouring over the book and the script. I created the set, costumes, the dragon and had the oportunity to play several roles as well.
I think that anyone who enjoys reading about a group of misfits trying to not only figure out where they belong in the world and who they really are (as an individule), while trying to over come the hardships (the dragon and the witch)that life seems to through thier way, will enjoy this book be you young or just young at heart.
Thank You Bruce for the opportunity you have given me in my life to do something I love.

This witch really holds a grudge.

When Grizelda decides to get revenge on King Mildred, she doesn't go halfway. She makes the fiercest dragon the kingdom has ever seen.

Now someone's got to kill the thing. But the knights are all too frightened, which leaves the job to an old squire, a young page boy, and the most willful princess who ever strapped on a sword.

The question is, can they stop arguing long enough to face the greatest battle of all?

Another exciting Bruce Coville book. This one's about a witch who really holds a grudge against a king, and makes the fiercest dragon the kingdom has ever seen.
