I enjoyed Reyes' story quite a bit, and I'm glad that I have the rest of the series. A tamer story line than the past two in the series.

Reyes, the bearer of the demon Pain, has been released from his curse that had once forced him to kill his friend Maddox, the bearer of Violence, every night at midnight.
