My wife and I both really enjoyed this book. This is the only series we've run across so far that really captures some of the Stephanie Plum feel successfully while still putting on a good, solid mystery. There's romance, a bit of actual sex, lots of tension, mystery--it's all there and it's written well enough to be very entertaining. At no point in this story did I lower the book and say, "Oh, come on!" as I so often have to do with others trying hard to be funny chick-lit mysteries.

It's very well done; we're looking forward to #2.

I love the Samantha Shaw mysteries. A mystery with a touch of romance. Her family is great, love her grandfather! This is the first in the series.
