A good, solid police procedural novel with a lot of action, some family tension, bunches of retribution/atonement issues. Surprisingly, very little sci-fi. The ending fell flat for me - I was hoping for so much more. But for a straight, fast-paced action book, you really can't go wrong with this one.

Fine and vintage WJW! Everytime I think he has surpassed himself he does so again. This isn't the best work he has done (i.e. Angel Station) but it is different and a good read.
