This wasn't the best mystery in the series and I can't tell you how many times I had the thought, "How dumb is Eve," while reading. The mystery itself wasn't hard to figure out and at one point, I even had to wonder how dumb was Annie--I figured this one out early on and what shocked that it took so much time for her to do so. I do love Jim and wished we had seen more of him in this book.

What kind of scottish idiot would let Annie teach a cooking class? Eve was more likeable and less self absorbed than books 1 and 2, but really I am just trudging through these books hoping it will get better. I am so sick of these cozies making the murderer the one you dont suspect, like a best friends stabbing you in the back. (this is not referring to EVE) but come on! Mysteries can be more creative than constantly picking, that person to be the murderer. Some of her clues were very creative. Like a clue from baby names. But overall I am bored and dont want to keep reading, there is better cozies out there.

Another quick read from this cozy mystery series. The actual mystery itself isn't as complex as the first two, but the romance progresses a bit and we meet a lot of fun characters. The recipes (which are all based on high quality bar food) include a chicken dip, onion soup, chili, grilled corn on the cob, hot chicken wings, mac 'n' three cheese, organic horseradish sauce, zesty burgers, grilled peaches with ice cream and the Bellywasher's mojito.

Book 3 in a Cooking Class Mystery.
Annie is a busy little lady. She works as a bank teller and is the business manager at Bellywasher's, her boyfriend Jim's restaurant. In this book, she is also persuaded to help Jim teach a cooking class for a few week's while he deals with his pregnant, emotional cousin Fi and her 7 girls. Her life gets even more hectic when her best friend Eve becomes the main suspect in a murder of one of their students. She quickly becomes a private investigator and turns up many leads along the way. This was a fun, entertaining and quick read. I love the main characters, especially Annie. She somehow attracts disaster, but is a smart cookie. The new characters that were introduced were great as well. I actually pinned the murderer early on, but was still interested at the end with how the story all pieced together.

Like the first two books in the series, this was a good one and it wasn't hard to figure out the bad guy. Just surprised that Annie didn't figure it out as well. Still a fun read and the recipes at the back were great as usual. Can't wait to read the next one.

This is the first book that I have read by Miranda Bliss, I enjoyed it very much! 2 friends get caught up in a mystery..and one friend tries to "save" the other~ This book is mostly set in a restaurant where one of the characters, ( a sexy guy ) is the cook.
I plan to read the other books in this series.

This was a cute addition to the Cooking Class Mystery Series. It wasn't the most intricately crafted mystery, but the characters are, as always, fun and engaging.
