I love the Beauty and the Beast scenario and this story should be one of the best. The hero, Ken, has been tortured and is scarred from head to foot, even on his privates. Because of the scarring he has little sensation in his skin - he physically can't feel anything. He looks scary and he feels scary inside. A total beast.

There's lots of sex, and some pretty interesting sex scenes. The basic premise of the story is interesting too.

This should add up to be a great book. It has all the right elements.

So why do I keep putting the book down and reading something else? I think the book is boring. Feehan can't decide if she wants to write action or romance or just lots of boring scenes of people waiting for aciton to start. We spend pages upon pages reading the most boring action scenes, conversations between people who aren't the main couple that go on for half a chapter. It takes you out of the moment, out of the romance, is a total distraction, and adds absolutely nothing to the story. And as with the previous book, Conspiracy Game, she's got dozens of continuity problems, people who were standing are now on the ground, someone who doing something with what must be three different hands. It is really jarring. The love scenes can be sexy, steamy even, but the writing and the characterization is so poor that even great sex scenes are boring.

Evidently I'm just not a fan of Christine Feehan's writing style. I think she keeps the action too far removed from the characters. She's in their head but not writing in first person which keeps the reader at a distance from the characters.

This is my third (and last) try at Christine Feehan. I keep thinking she wouldn't be so popular if all her books suck, but they really do. I think they're really poorly written and edited.

Read the Riley Jensen books, read Black Dagger Brotherhood, or Immortals after Dark, or the Lora Leigh's Elite Ops books if you're not into the paranormal.

One of her Ghostwalker series. You must read the one right before this (I think it is Conspiracy Game) or this one won't make a lot of sense.

This was the first one I've read by this author and I am hooked - now to go back to the rest! It's not for the ultra-feminist (this one) but I enjoyed it nevertheless. Steamy scenes and lots of action!!

Everything you expect from Christine Feehan; sizzling sex scenes, riveting storyline, supernatural forces, etc. 5th book in the Game series (Ghostwalkers).

It was nice, but if you have read the other 'Game', it's more of the same. I did enjoy the character of Ken (not Nick, that is from MIND Game) Norton, though.

I enjoy Christine Feehan's Carpathan series and have just started working my way into the Ghost walker books. I have read in order one and two. There are some thing I have noticed are in common with the Carpathan series and Ghose Walker series. So if you enjoy one you will like the other, but I favor the Carpathan series. The first two books I do suggest reading in order because book two will make more sense. Still a really good series.

Every time I read one of Christine Feehan's "Game" books I am left wondering just how many Ghostwalkers are there! More and more is being found out about Dr. Pete Whitney's insane experiments, hidden agendas, and other power hungry politicians. Ms. Feehan is an excellent writer, her style is captivating, humorous, and so real that it makes me look over my shoulder. My only complaint is that she does not have a book out every week.

Great story, can be read as part of the series or as a stand alone. In depth characters and plot. A little too explicit sexually for younger readers but great if you're not easily offended.

Christine takes the Ghostwalker series further in this installation without stalling the theme. Always a fast paced read with plenty of action, both in and out of romantic situations. Deadly Game brings another couple together with plenty of friction and fireworks as they fight to free themselves from Whitney and make their own choices in life and love. A good read.

Excellent book -- Christine Feehan continues the Ghostwalker series with this latest edition... The story is about Ken Norton (Jack Norton's twin) and Marigold (Brioney's twin) and how they meet and fall in love and escape Whitney's clutches...

new installment in the ghostwalker series. Focused on Ken, one of the two male twins and Mari, one of the two female twins. Would have liked more action and less sex...but still kept my interest throughout!

This one had too much rape and torture happening. Not just stuff in the past, but going thru it step by step while you are there with the character and it was too much for me. I still like how the overall sstory was moved along, but I ended up skimming thru most of this book.

I found this book rather disturbing. The sex scenes just seemed too violent to me. The author kept stressing about how deformed the hero was. I can understand having a hero that has been tortured. Many authors do that. I just feel that this went way over the top.
