I really enjoyed this book. Tho' of course just guesswork in a sense but based on Austen letters and biographies is so well done. It takes me awhile to get into this mode of reading - letters back and forth. I found it to be very realistic.

If you are already familiar with Jane Austen's life, then you might find, as I did, that there was little to interest me in this book because I was already familiar with the story. If you are not familiar with Jane Austen's life and that of her relatives, then this could be a most intriguing book. A novelization of the life of Jane's cousin, Eliza Hancock, later Coutess Eliza de Feuillide.
