I am writing this review for those on PBS who know me, and who also like the same books that I like.

Overall this is a great book, and worth reading if you need to read every paranormal book that is good.

If you split your time between reading lighter paranormals, mysteries, and women's fiction you really have many other better reading choices.

I wanted to read this book because book one in the OTHER series by Darynda Jones, won a writing award, and the 1st book was a masterpiece. I have read all the way to book 5 in that series.

Not wanting to spoil anything for either series, lets just say this book is a watered down and condensed version of the other series. Watered down? and Condensed in the same sentence. Well, yes, she cut out the sex and the violence, and condensed the story so by the 1st few pages you know who the sexy guy is, where he comes from, who sent him. But it is kinda the same story, Cute chick falls in love with evil guy who might have a good side.

I also have to add near the end, I found it confusing on what was reality, and what it all meant. Is she dreaming, is she seeing visions? Has time stopped again? I liked the ending, but also thought that is so implausible, yeah right as if the rest of the book could be based on reality. I just mean, I didnt buy the explanation of what happened. Or maybe I just didnt like it.

I dont plan to read the rest of this series. I think I have too many other super books to read.

Oh and it turks me off that our main character has red curly hair, but this chick on the cover does NOT have curly hair. I know curly.

Darynda Jones is FANTASTIC! I have loved all her Charley Davidson books, so I thought "Why not give her Teen series a try?"

I am SO glad I did...it was a delightful, fast, witty, romantic, funny read! I cannot wait for the second book in this new series!

Her main character, heroine Lorelei, is smart & adorable--with all the normal quirks & self-doubts any regular teenage girl experiences. Loved her!

Her heroes, both Cameron & Jared, are HUNKS...gorgeous exteriors, hot intellectual interiors!

She writes a perfect tale--whether for grown-up girls or teens. I'd read ANYTHING she wrote...she's that good!

Funny and entertaining, this is a fast paced story with an archangel, demons, a poltergeist, and a very endearing group of main characters. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but it does end abruptly and leaves you needing to read the next book.
