The Greeks and Romans used dice to get advice on dealing with problems and even in selecting government officials. And fortune tellers have been casting dice to help with their predictions for over 4,000 years. Today dice come in all shapes and sizes, with some having as many as 20 faces, although most have 6 faces like those in this kit. The Decision Dice kit contains 3 dice, a casting board, and a book of readings. Based on the traditional meanings attributed to the dice through the centuries, the book offers practical easy-to-understand guidance for solving problems, asking specific questions, or simply gaining further insight into any situation. For instance, ask the dice whether you should go back to school. Casting a 2 on the black die and a 3 on each of the other two dice indicates that "You?ve dreamed of this a very long time and now is the time for all dreams to come true." Each of the three dice represents a particular area of questioning: the black die symbolizes growth and is for questions relating to any problems, obstacles or difficulties; the brown die is for opportunity and relates to emotional questions regarding relationships and social connections; and the cream die represents guidance and is used for all questions relating to finances, career, and material possessions. The casting is done on the special casting board provided with the kit. Color-coding allows the system to be totally comprehensive (each die represents a different area of questioning) with 216 readings for general queries and 216 readings for specific questions. All dice permutations are explained fully and simply in the accompanying book.« less
