I was rather disappointed by this book. It was my first Singh book and I'm afraid it will be my last. In order to get around the polygamy allowed in Arab countries, Singh created a fictious Arab kindom which allows only one wife. The characters, especially, the male hero, Tariq, are cardboard cutouts without a lot of character development and the story is boring and predictable. Although there's a lot of sex in the book, I didn't find any of it especially hot. Overall, it was a disappointing read and I can't figure out what all the hullabaloo about Singh is about. She's very mediocre, IMO.
The fabled desert kingdom of Zulheina was Tariq's birthright, and he was a man who held tightly what belonged to him. And that meant he had to reclaim a very special womanthe woman who had broken his heart years before in New Zealand. And once he had lured her to this distant land, he meant to keep his new bride here forever
But Jasmine Coleridge was not as easily tamed as he had imagined. Her beguiling blend of untouched innocence and dazzling sensuality threatened, once again, to bring the haughty sheikh to his kneesand made him wonder who was the true prisoner

It is a book about a young woman who had originally choose her family over her lover. However, when his parents die she feels the need to go back to him during his time of mourning to be there for him.
