This presents a comical look at the world of dog showing. As a dog show exhibtor myself, I find it to be an accurate if somewhat dated view of what it would be like to be immersed in the world of dog showing.

This was good book and had a lot of info about how dog shows work. The stories regarding breeding were a little tough to read. The writers tell a good story and i thought this book was pretty unique - I didn't see a lot of other books on this topic. If you love dogs (purebreed or mixed) - it's definitely worth reading. It's very well written.

a book following mimi einstein and her allstar kennels bullmastiffs through dog shows, with a look at other aspects of big time akc dog shows as well. i found this book extremely disturbing, but i suppose that's no big surprise. i don't have much patience for the akc and all the bad behavior it spawns. i don't have much patience for breeders who do cool things like breed multiple dogs with torn cruciates, including a dog who couldn't be finished because he blew his knee and couldn't be rehabbed enough for the show ring. but he was rehabbed enough to breed, i guess. blech.

An informative and entertaining account of life on the dog show circuit leading up to Westminister. It focuses on the bull mastiff but the information generally applies to all show dogs.
