Another good story from MacInnes. It may have been a bit drawn out, but then spy missions aren't always quickly wrapped up.

I'd like to post my copy here, but the 1966 paperback started falling apart as I read it. Think I'll place a rubber band around it and leave it in a Free Library.

I haven't read this book. My friend who gave it to me said that it was a really good book. I asked her to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 and she chose a 9. Although the description sounds intriguing, I somehow just feel this is more of an interest to women and I just don't want to read it. She says that I'm wrong, that it isn't just a "woman's book."
From the back of the book:
"Helen MacInnes' latest thriller holds all the excitement of a breakneck rollercoaster in the behind-the-scenes inferno of international intrigue. There is a sense of seeing the real world that hides behind the daily headlines, and the breathless ride is wonderfully brightened at moments by what one feels are privileged glimpses of the human heart." -Dallas Morning News
