Roland runs into the "doorways" where he draws people from our world into his own. Page-turner, awesome.

King's epic goes in directions you could never predict. At times compelling and always keeps you on your toes, but you still have to trust he knows where he is going as the dispirit worlds have yet to gel into a coherent whole.

The third installment in Stephen King's brillant Dark Tower Trilogy follows Roland as he draws his ka-tet from different doors and different times, and one of them is a killer. King showcases his mastery of the genre in this excellent read.
