I loved this funny and warm tale of an English family settling in an old, about to fall down, farm in Spain. The tales of the neighbors are touching and very amusing too. Its been a while since I read this, but the author is a famous guitar player from the 70's, if i recall correctly. A very good read.

I delighted in this book; the anti-thesis of "My Year in Provence". One wonders why anyone would make the choices the author did, yet has to admire his family's perseverance.

This was an interesting and sensitive account of a couple of British expats creating a home for themselves in a small Andalusian town. My only complaint is that the ending was VERY abrupt.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I had a hard time putting it down. It wasn't over the top exciting, but it introduced me to a world and a lifestyle I could only hope to be brave enough to experience. An unexpected, great read. Enjoy!
