This story is about Riley Sinclair a Firefighter who lives in the same apartment building as Ginny a Crisis Counselor. He often gets home while she's on her way to work. After many flirtatious hallway meetings Riley decides to ask Ginny out. After the husband of a domestically abused woman threatens Ginny Riley decides to help keep a watch on her. Ginny fights with her issues of control while Riley deals with his fear of loosing someone else he loves.

After many struggles and a revelation from Riley the two come to terms with their feelings for one another. Still it takes until Ginny's life is hanging in the balance for him to accept himself for who he is and Ginny for who she is to realize that what he's wanted all along is right their for the taking.

This story is short and sweet. It took me only a day to read, so if you need a quick book to pass the time, this book is perfect to pass the time.
