Patricia Cabot doesn't write a book with a short fuse but a long burning fuse that builds wonderfully in Educating Caroline. I genuinely like the two main characters and their growing relationship, they were real and plesant to be around, as it were. There were lots of cool (and acurate) historical details, I even had to look a few of them up! Intelligent and quick witted, a good find for the genre.

This was a very enjoyable book. I very much liked Lady Caroline and Braden. They were interesting and I enjoyed all their interactions. Lady Caroline is stronger and more interesting than your standard heroine during this time and Braden is not as tough as he likes to think he is. The style and the characters reminded me a little bit of Amanda Quick's writing. I highly recommend this book.
