Amazing that this was translated, given that there are less than 400,000 native Icelandic speakers. The largest concentration in the Western Hemisphere (Yes, I KNOW that Iceland is technically in the Western Hemisphere) of Icelandic speakers is 1,400 in Manitoba, most in the Tolkienian-sounding town of Gimli. I got this at a library book sale in a small town in Manitoba (probably for 25 cents, Canadian) and brought it to Southern California, so I apologize to the other 1,399 Icelandic speakers in Manitoba who I have deprived of a book.
