The El Murders
Author: Bill Granger
Two crimes are committed in one week in the Chicago subway -- the murder of a gay stockbroker, and the brutal rape of a college coed. Detectives Terry Flynn and Karen Kovac suspect that the killer and rapist are one, and they'll have to buck the police, courts, lawyers and the city's entire criminal justice system to prove it.

Pushily graphic beginning, that loses it's fizzle early. I couldn't wait to start it based on it's back, then I couldn't wait to finish it. I kept waiting for it to reawaken, it never did.
