I picked this up to be entertained by Tim Curry reading the lovely phrasings that Mr. Snicket put together (in the dark in the dark) rather than to be entertained by the story. Tim Curry has wonderful wicked laughs and wheezing coughs. The audio is enhanced by an interesting song by The Gothic Archies, played in its entirety at the end. Fun and light and well performed.
