Years before this story begins, Earth was attacked by an Alien race known as the "Buggers". The Buggers, desiring another world to habitate, launch attack after attack on the human race. Just before the Buggers strike the death blow to the human race, a brilliant, unorthodox commander by the name of Mazer Rackham destroys the Alien fleet, saving the human race. After the Buggers defeat, all the nations of the Earth join their (space)fleets together with the hope of protecting humanity creating the IF (International Fleet). They also decide to create a "battle school" to train the most brilliant children from every corner of the globe. Knowing that they are vulnerable from an attack by the buggers, the search for a new savior begins.....The search for Ender Wiggin......
