My son and I have both read this book and it is really good and worth reading.
The Author of this book is Ian Serraillier and the book's original title was The Silver Sword
I read this book as a fifth grader and have never forgetten it. I couldn't tell you the story line now if my life depended on it, but I will never forget how much I enjoyed it. I got in trouble several time for reading ahead in class and then not knowing where the class was when it was my turn to read aloud. LOL
