And she did it again!
She exceeded my expectations once more!

This is NOT a book for your TBR pile, this is a book you need to read right away, (right after you read the first three if you havent done so yet)!
And if read the first three of the series, you will know that it just cant go on your TBR pile!

In book four, she pushes you right back into the action, and then allows you to take one step back, lets you catch your breath, but only for a second, just to offer you a hand to explore moments and times past! That gives you the rare chance to get to know the characters and events that led them to where they now are even better!
It was such a great surprise, that needs so much intelligence and skill to even think about that possibility.

And it covers so much more than just Urban Fantasy. It is Romance, Political Thriller, Science-Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, and Supernatural.

This book has everything, again!! It made me cry and then, still with tears in my eyes, laugh out loud!

I have never ever read any other author that describes things so well that it speaks to ALL your senses. There is nothing she describes that does not make you experience it for yourself, you seem to see it with you own eyes, feel it, smell it, hear it, taste it. And you want more!!
You literally go through the emotions with the characters!
The chacters turn into your friends, enemies, people you know, it is so real!

I never cared so little how the book ends, because I know there will be more to come! That being said, the book ends with a cliffhanger that will make the wait until the next book excruciating, but good things really are worth waiting for, and Im sure On Midnight Wings will be well worth it.

Her stories keep you thrilled from beginning to end and beyond, so that you count the hours till you get to read more! I love her work more every day!

The beauty, suspense, and richness of her stories do not only feed your soul but capture your heart - FOREVER!!

I cannot express enough how lucky and happy I am that I stumbled across Adrians books one day and I loved her ever since!

It is not enough but all I can say: Thank you, Adrian!!

This is the 4th installment of The Maker's Song series, a very under rated urban fantasy series that has all the plot twists, intrigue and romance that keeps you turning pages all the way to the end, and Etched in Bone is no exception. With wonderful and intelligent writing, this book gives you insight into the main characters and makes you fall in love with them all over again. Highly recommend you start with the first book, A Rush of Wings. Can't wait for more.

This is the 4th book in the Maker's Song series by Adrian Phoenix. This series is very well written and has you at the edge of your seat. This fourth book, certainly does not disappoint! The world is complex and has many twists and turns. Hard to put down. The characters are very much alive and have you emotionally involved in their story. I hope this series goes on and on. Adrian Phoenix is a very talented writer. I haven't read one book that she has written that I haven't fallen in love with. She is an amazing writer and this is an amazing series. I would definitely recommend.

This is one of my favorite series but I was disappointed with Etched in Bone. Other reviews seem to like the choppy, short chapters and the constantly switching point of view, I found it very distracting. This is not a stand alone book, you have to read the previous books or you will be lost.

The whole book takes place during a period of 3 days following the fire and loss of Simone at Damascus, OR. The first and last chapters are the same day. In between we go from Sam Gillesppie and Monica Rutgers, to Gehenna with Dante and Morningstar to rescue Lucien, next to Caterina, Epstein and Teodoro Dion, then back ten years. There are chapters on Merri Goodnight and Emmitt Thibodaux, Club Hell with all Dante's and Heather's friends and family and constant flashbacks to Dante's past, then Valeria Underwood, Richard Purcell, James Wallace, and back 20 yrs. - some chapters only 2 or 3 pages long.

The book felt disjointed, only the last few chapters telling a continuous story and then we get the cliffhanger.

On the plus side the writing is fabulous and the characters interesting. The love and complete trust between Heather and Dante is something I really like. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Etched in Bone is the fourth book in The Maker's Song series. Dante Baptiste is the son of a fallen angel, forged in vampire's blood, and the Shadow Branch have been trying for yearrs to control his mind. His heart belongs to FBI Agent Heather Wallace. Their romance has blossomed throughout the series.

Now, Dante wants to meet the Fallen on his own terms and figure out his confused past. But someone in Heather's human family is an enemy and wishes Dante dead. The end is a cliffhanger, so be prepared!

Adrian Phoenix writes a thrilling and dark urban fantasy with gritty characters and an underlying love between the hero and heroine. Complex and suspenseful situations, creative world-building, and electrifying writing will have you craving page after page. Don't miss the first three books in this titillating series, A Rush of Wings, In the Blood and Beneath the Skin.
