All that can be remembered: it's a story about a terrorist attack on a space station. Cover art has a depiction of the station. Get your magnifying glasses out, sleuths!

My first reaction is Walter Jon Williams.  My second is that this should be in the SF forum.  And my third is how about a rough age, how long ago was this book from?  And what is FOAF?

FOAF is a folklore identifier for a Friend of a Friend. Age of the FOAF is late twenties (though we SciFi readers may be classic cases of arrested development). The book is the first of a series that is just publishing a second book...say, 2007. Already hit the SciFi forum a month ago. No luck. Thanks for helping me clarify.

I'm not the sleuth for something that recent.  Sorry.  Been much too distracted by urban fantasy.  Now cyberpunk stuff, that I can mentally pull up like crazy.  But attacks on space stations is way too common of a theme.   Exposions in space where nothing actually does explode because there is no air?  Dime a dozen.
