i enjoyed this book, as i do most of Mr Lustbaders novels. This one is a peek into the frantic world of political figures, their children and the people they use and abuse for the purposes of "the nation" along the way. The story of one such agent who decides he wants to leave his mark on the world in a big way. enjoy!

This is a mystery thriller concerning Jack McClure, a ATF agent, that has been pulled into service with the Secret Service task force when the president-elect's daughter has been kidnapped day before the inauguraution. It is a twisted plot with lots of players from the present and into the past. Follow the trail as Jack tries to find the pending first daughter before inauguration day, without the public becoming aware that she is missing. A serial killer is involved, but who is it? Jack has to get to the bottom before Allie, the president elect's daughter, does something that jeprodizes the lives of top ranking government officals at the cermonial inaughration.

Not an easy read because of how the plot twists, but there is a surprise at the end if you hang on. Grabs you from the first and doesn't let you go until the end.

This was a great political-themed book that creates an inside view of families in the political realm and what people can do and get away with in this world. This was a first reading of this author and certainly won't be the last. If you are a fan of political intrigue, you must get this book! His writing is faced-paced, intelligent-- never boring.
