Great gift book. This book was written and published by Johnny Gruelle in 1942 for his daughter, Marcella whose doll was Raggedy Ann. He first wrote the Raggedy Ann books for Marcella and later published them.
This story is about Raggedy Ann and Andy and they meet a police officer who is crying. He found a note telling him that he must arrest Mr. Hooligooly and he does not want to. The dolls go with the Police officer to the Hooligolly's and find that Mr. Hooligooly is guilty of nothing. So Raggedy Andy, the police officer and Mr. Hooligooly go to the accuser's home and he is a grocer. He does very mean things to them and the grocer is sent to jail until he is sorry. This is beautiful hardback book with lovely artwork of the story.
This book is a great learning tool and as an adult I enjoyed it.
