While this book took me back to the 60's and early 70's and held my interest, there were things that really disturbed me. Nora follows her husband to Alaska where he is a fisherman. He lives to fish and is almost never help Nora, or be with her, and to spend time with their 3 children. I so hoped for a happy ending, but I found the book incredibly depressing up to the end.
