I was very disappointed in this book. I thought I'd never finish it and I skimmed through most of it. I learned her struggle to overcome her families wishes came late, as she had to look after her family and do as they wished. She put off her nursing career until I believe her thirties. She had a true love but her love of nursing was stronger. Her initial study of nursing was short but it is always ongoing. The book covered too much politics and management for me. I wanted to read more of her personal nursing experiences. I hope others find the book more appealing.
