The cover implies a better book (like the Kim Harrison books). Not very romantic for a "supernatural romance book" -- the bad guys all have degrading S&M sex, the good guys have "true love". Not a very good example of this genre.

It definitely is more erotica than romance. The book did drag a little bit but it was intriguing enough for me to continue on the series. It's also a little confusing in the beginning since you have to sort out who is who and all the rules of the world, but that's to be expected for a first book in the series. The plot was okay.
The bad girl gets all the hot erotic scenes so when it comes to Hawk and Silver's love scenes, they were almost too tame. Some master and servant play and S & M so if you squeamish about that stuff, it's not the book for you. And somehow towards the end, I was kind of rooting for the bad girl to kick butt. Have no idea how that happen.

You'll like this if you have an interest in Celtic mythology, but for me it was disappointing. Poorly written. Although it had interesting elements, at times the story line seemed contrived. I am a highly critical reader, and after studying the craft of writing it's highly possible my standards were set too high.

This book is great.........and hot, hot, hot. Loved the characters and the story. Silver and Hawk are great. Can't wait for the next in this series, "Seduced by Magic", with Copper, Silver's sister.

I really thought this was a great book. I had never read this author before and just found this book at a used book store by chance. I thought some parts dragged and I thought this book could have been a little shorter. I really liked the main characters and loved the steamy romance between the two. I also enjoyed the ending and hope these two characters make appearances in the next books. Definitely one of the better paranormal series out there. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Pretty good book but the ending wasn't the best. Felt like it just stopped in the middle of the action.
Great story, would have been a lot better if some of the sex scenes were removed and a little more of the plot was put in.

This book could've been very good but instead the plot was overly busy and the author seemed easily distracted with writing lengthy descriptions of food, witchcraft rituals and hardcore, unsexy sex instead of fleshing out her characters. This had to be one of the most unerotic fantasy romances I've read in a long while. Ah well, can't please 'em all, can ya?
Very steamy, a great story.
The "romance" in this book is disgusting...it was hard-core porn, with extremely coarse sexual language. If you're into bondage and discipline it might be a good read for you, but if you're not it'll make you nauseous. I'm no prude but this was too much for me. Plot line was not even passable.

It was a nice paced book, though I thought that some of the characters weren't fleshed out enough. I like steamy romances, and don't mind fairly graphic scenes when it adds to the story line, but there were some that seemed added for shock value. A decent read, but not a keeper for me.
A really great book that leaves you wanting more. It has all of the great characters like witches...white, grey,and dark. Otherworld creatures and mystery.

Very good plot, but the sex part turned me off as one of the characters had 2 three-way scenes. It fit the character but I'm not into that S & M thing. Turned me off of the whole book, but lots of people seem to love the book.

While I liked the way this author created her world, and weaved her story, their was some langauge that I didn't feel was needed. While I would love to see what happens in this story line, I will not be buying any more of her books for this reason.
