GEORGIA SKEEHAN IS A NEW YORK CITY FIRE DEPT. MARSHALL. AS A ROOKIE AND A WOMAN, SHE'S USED TO BEING SIDELINED BY HER PEERS. BUT INVESTIGATING A RECENT BLAZE THAT ENGULFED FIFTY-FOUR LIVES CHALLENGES HER LIKE NEVER BEFORE. IT'S THE INCENDIARY WORK OF THE "FOURTH ANGEL", AN ARSONIST WHOSE SECRET FURY BURNS WITH BIBICAL PROPORTIONS, A MESSENGER OF GOD WITH PLANS TO IGNITE MANHATTAN IN A CATACLYSM OF FLAMES, AS GEORGIA SIFTS FOR CLUES THROUGH THE RUINS OF HIS RAGE, THE FOURTH ANGEL CLOSES IN ON HIS REAL QUARRY. AND IT'S GOING TO PLUNGE GEORGIA STRAIGHT INTO THE SOUL OF A MADMAN.

THIS IS A RIVITING BOOK, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN, WONDERFUL INSIGHTS INTO FIRES AND THEIR CAUSES. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND IT

This book was much slower than Fireplay or Flashover. It's clear that this is an authors first work. It was easy to figure out who did it and why and I found that disappointing. In addition, I found the antagonist hard to relate to, be angry, or sympathize with.

I loved my first look at Carter and Marenko. They are what makes this book worth reading as they were the most interesting characters. The beginnings of a relationship between Skeehan and Marenko were interesting and plays a role on their relationship in the future.

While I will not read this book again but I'm glad I read it for the insight into the later books in the future which I liked much better and will read again.
