This was a lot of common sense information I really didn't gain anything from it that I didn't already know. For someone who doesn't know about insurance and budgeting it is a well written book.

This book gives some good ideas for saving money and spending wisely. While I liked Frugal Families, I think Miserly Mom's is a better pick. It has more tangible advice for spending and saving.

Not nearly as helpful as her other books.

Excellent book with fantastic ideas. The only thing I didn't like about this book is that the author really heavily laid on the whole "stay at home mom" issue... if you're not called by God to stay at home, then you might feel a little insulted at times because she makes it clear that any WOMAN who doesn't stay at home is missing out and selfish. But once you get past that point the book is great with tons of money saving ideas that are practical and fun.
