One of series of books about Gladdy Gold. She is an amateur detective who lives in a retirement community. She and her friends solve a mystery surrounding a retirement home Romeo who is to blame for several deaths.
*A fun book with amusing moments.*
Just a fun book with Gladys and her Gladiators as they try to solve a murder in their senior retirement community in Fort Lauderdale. Lots of Yiddish flavor. This series is a pleasure to read. Lots of laughs. The characters are a real hoot.
Gladdy and girls are at it again, but this book is more complex than usual. The story is deeper, things happen that are unexpected, but all your favorites are still there. Another very enjoyable installment in this series.
Gladdy Gold and her delicate and elderly cast of characters continue on in this series by Rita Lakin. I have enjoyed them so far, and now as we delve deeper into the Florida residents of a retirment community, their personalities come out. I find the love / hate, and frienamy relationships very funny and true to life. This old gals know how to live and manage as they age not so gracefully. The mystery in this one is not as clear as it seems and the relationsfhip between Gladdy and her sister, Evvie becmes strained. Another quick, fun and happy read in this series.
Gladdy & her sister go "undercover" to catch a killer - and that's where the excitement starts! good next installment to the series.
Very enjoyable book. Not really a "mystery" because you know from the start who the killer is, but there is information that comes out throughout the book about him that is interesting. And the main characters are integrated well into the plot.
It was okay, but not great. I liked the first book in the series better. I have three more to read, but decided I will do some other reading first.
Even though I figured out what was going to happen I still enjoyed the book. I am enjoying this series.
Gladdy Gold is a hoot. These stories are just plain fun.
