Getting Them Sober is an excellent book for anyone who lives with or loves an alcoholic. It contains useful information about the disease of alcoholism in laymen's terms.

The book assures the reader that the problem is not their fault and addresses any guilt or other emotions that they may have associated with another's drinking problem.

Very practical advice is offered concerning dealing with the addict in a productive way while maintaining one's sanity in the midst of the storm. As a therapist, I would also recommend this book to professionals but it is written for the lay person. I recommend it to anyone who is struggling with this difficult disease.
