I am of split opinion about this book. In general I HATE Star Trak books as you know how things will end up (is there any suspence as to whether Kirk will survive or not?), but I enjoyed Barbara Hambly's deft touches. As usual, there is a wounded, but strong heroine and strong characterizations. If you like Star Trek this will be great.
